There will be three Platform Downtown events and a gallery exhibit.

Opening Night Party for Boston Fashion Week

The Opening Night Party for Platform Downtown at Boston Fashion Week will feature artist Holly Nichols and designer Denise Hajjar. Tickets cost $20 (price of admission includes one drink ticket). This event is from 7 to 11 pm.

Nichols will be creating live sketches during "It Starts With a Sketch." Nichols will only be doing 14 sketches and five lucky people will be chosen to be sketched and keep their sketch. Nichols will be doing sketches from 7:30 to 8:30 pm and 9 to 10 pm. Nichols has created fashionable illustrations and artful campaigns for TRESemmé, Saks Fifth Avenue, Disney, Living Proof and more. Her work is sold internationally and she works with corporate clients to create fashion and beauty illustrations for campaigns, live-sketch events and more. Today, she uses artist-quality illustration markers to hand-sketch garments with love from her studio just south of Boston.

The Denise Hajjar fashion show will be from 8:30 to 9 pm featuring models from Model Club and Dynasty Models and TalentHajjar has designed costumes for television, theater, commercials and movies. Her clothes have been worn by celebrities, news anchors, and politicians while attending prestigious events and award programs such as the Tonys, Emmys and Oscars. She is very proud that all her clothes are cut and sewn in Massachusetts.

There will be a fashion gallery throughout the duration of the event for all to enjoy. And there will be a Pop-up Shop from 7 to 10 pm. There will also be signature cocktails by Wanderlush and light bites.
