Downtown Boston is continuously undergoing transformation. New towers are getting built and older buildings are being renovated. Streets, sidewalks, water & sewer pipes, and telecommunications infrastructure are being repaired. All sorts of projects are underway!



South Station Expansion Project

Where: South Station (Atlantic Avenue & Summer Street)
When: MassDOT is planning an $850 million expansion of South Station to improve service and accomodate future demand. Feasibility analyses are being conducted; there is no timeline for the project.

CongressSq WaterDevCorner No WaterSt Canopy 2Congress Square (Quaker Lane) Development Project

Where: 54-82 Devonshire St./13-21 Congress St., including Quaker Lane
When: Related/Beal launched this 458,300-sq. ft. project, which includes 92,700-sq. ft. of proposed new development, in March 2016. This mixed-use project includes retail, residential, office, and hotel and will open-up Quaker Lane to incorporate sidewalk cafes.
