SUMMARY:The Road to Revolution: Massachusetts and the Independence Movement
DESCRIPTION:Explore major Massachusetts events in the first year of the American Revolution at the Old State House\, where protest turned into action and the momentum for independence accelerated. Created through a partnership between Revolutionary Spaces and the Massachusetts Historical Society\, The Road to Revolution: Massachusetts and the Independence Movement invites visitors to step into 1775 and 1776—a moment defined by uncertainty\, debate\, and decisions that would reshape the world. \nThis exhibition commemorates the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution by offering unique and personal perspectives on events leading to the Declaration of Independence. It delves into the tensions\, choices\, and consequences that defined this pivotal time\, providing a deeper understanding of the people who shaped America’s fight for independence. Featuring private letters\, personal diary entries\, and treasured artifacts from the MHS collection\, the exhibition offers a dynamic and engaging look at how and why Massachusetts residents chose revolution as the path forward.

SUMMARY:Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit
DESCRIPTION:February 27\, 2026 at 8:00pm\nFebruary 28\, 2026 at 8:00pm \nSix-time GRAMMY winner JASON ISBELL will perform new tour dates in 2026 with his band THE 400 UNIT\, in addition to a recently announced solo tour across North America in support of his acoustic album Foxes in the Snow. \nOne of the most highly lauded songwriters of his generation\, Isbell’s Foxes in the Snow was released on his own Southeastern Records in March and captures an artist at the peak of their powers; the virtuosic guitar playing and commanding vocal delivery on this collection is some of the most impressive of an already remarkable recording career. The stripped back\, bare-bones format put his immense talent for evocative storytelling and the complete mastery of his craft on full display. \nIsbell also reissued Something More Than Free via his own Southeastern Records in July to celebrate ten years of the critically-acclaimed\, GRAMMY-winning studio album. The newly remastered edition comes replete with updated mixes and a previously unreleased B-side “Should I Go Missing.” The reissued album is out now on all streaming services and on LP and CD.

SUMMARY:Hadestown
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to HADESTOWN\, where a song can change your fate. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album\, this acclaimed new show from celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and original director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha\, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today… and always. \nHADESTOWN intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice\, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature\, doubt against faith\, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors\, dancers and singers\, HADESTOWN is a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.
