Become Foodstagram Famous!

Food Blogger/Stylist Desiree Currie will host a class at the Boston Center for Adult Education on the Art of Food Styling and Photography Lights, camera, Instagram!

Join The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017, as they enlist the help of guest instructor and well known food blogger Desiree Currie, for an evening dedicated to perfecting the art of the Instagram fame-game. In “Foodstagram: Recipes, Styling & Perfect Pics,” students will learn first-hand from Currie just what it takes to prepare, style and shoot the ultimate Insta-worthy post, giving those in attendance the chance to fast-track their foodstagram fame.

From 6:00PM – 9:00PM, students will follow along with Currie, helping to create photogenic recipes that include Caramelized Onion Tart, Deviled Eggs and a Seasonal Fresh Green Salad. Taking their creations, students will learn the best practices on presentation skills that include styling, lighting and filtering, as well as how to snap the perfect foodstagram photo and build a strong social media presence. Smartphones and cameras are encouraged. Desiree Currie is a well-known local food stylist, blogger, photographer and cook with What’s In Season with Des, and believes food is a form of art. Eating her way through the seasons, Currie strives to balance health kicks and comfort food cravings alike by cultivating recipes from all the ingredients in her kitchen.
