"Blue Rebellion" exhibit at 481 Washington Street

Emerson graduate student, Mehvish Ali, tells the story of indigo in her thesis project on display at 481 Washington Street.

The project, Blue Rebellion, is a multimedia exhibition that explores the story of indigo, a natural plant-based dye, prevalent throughout Southeast Asia (especially the Bengal Bay region), which has been a global trade commodity for centuries. Free and open to the public through Monday, September 26th, the exhibit includes a short film-based documentary, photographs, and artwork.
