Florence Clerc's spellbinding adaptation of of Marius Petipa's passionate tale of love, betrayal, and revenge returns to The Boston Opera House stage.

Set against the rich backdrop of ancient India, "La Bayadère" tells the tragic tale of the love between beautiful temple dancer Nikiya and the warrior Solar. Lovers torn apart by twists of fate and doomed by uncontrollable vengeance, they are finally reunited for eternity in the Kingdom of the Shades.

Florence Clerc's exquisite choreography combined with radiant sets and costumes and a magnificent score by Ludwig Minkus creates a vibrant classic which The Boston Globe hailed as 'breathtaking."
