Boston Harborfest - Twisted Strands: Ropemaking in the Charlestown Navy Yard

Learn from an expert about some of the many ways that ropemaking connects with Boston history and Boston sailors in colonial times! Make your own twisted rope, and compare the strength of your handmade rope to that of one made by a machine. This fun drop-in program is open to children and adults, and will be led by Boston National Historical Park Ranger Dan Gagnon.
