Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration & USS Constitution invite you to the Charlestown Navy Yard to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War on Friday, May 18, 2018 1:00 PM Watch as USS Constitution returns to her berth at Pier 1 and welcome the Vietnam veterans aboard, hear the roar from Rolling Thunder, and enjoy a live performance by the Navy Band Northeast and Patriotic Dancers. 2:00 PM Visit engagement booths from Home Base, Naval History & Heritage Command, USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116) Commissioning Committee, and the Massachusetts and Boston offices of Veterans Services and tour USS Cassin Young and enjoy hands-on exhibits at the USS Constitution Museum. 3:00 PM Honor our servicemen and women with a ceremony that will include USS Constitution's Color Guard and remarks from Governor Charlie Baker, military leaders, and distinguished veterans. This event is free and open to the public. Vietnam War veterans and a guest are invited aboard a Boston Harbor Cruise ship that will accompany USS Constitution during her turnaround demonstration from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
