JFK at 100: John F. Kennedy’s Centennial in Historical Context

Enjoy an in-depth look at our 35th president on his 100th birthday. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from world-renowned University of Virginia Miller Center scholars. Professors Barbara Perry and Marc Selverstone of UVA’s Miller Center, which specializes in the study of presidential scholarship, public policy and political history, will lead a special three-day program in Boston, MA, commemorating JFK’s 100th birthday.

The discussion will trace significant points in JFK’s life and presidency and the life of his family all while in the historically significant city of Boston. Visit JFK’s birthplace, take an in-depth tour of the JFK Library and the Edward M. Kennedy Institute, experience local culture and cuisine, and meet notable special guests Vicki Kennedy and former Senator Paul Kirk. This is a once-in-a-lifetime JFK at 100 commemoration program.

Note: This program includes daily walking tours, extended periods of time standing, and long days. Please come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and layers of clothing to adapt to the ever-changing weather in Boston. Given the nature of the event, dress is business casual, but feel free to get a little dressier for the opening and closing dinners on Sunday and Tuesday. PLEASE REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT.
