To highlight the synergy of our seafood with Argentina’s wines, we’re offering a special menu featuring thirteen of the wines. Argentine wines have surged in popularity due to the exciting flavors they offer in a number of varietal categories, from Torrontés to Chardonnay, and from Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon to the sizzling hot Malbec. Nestled in the foothills and slopes of the Andes Mountains, the country’s vineyards are at the highest elevations of any in the world. Several distinct regions within Argentina offer an ideal setting for a diverse range of wine flavors. At six to eight thousand feet high, Salta provides great growing conditions for the indigenous Torrontés variety, producing crisp, dry aromatic wines. Pinot Noir ripens beautifully in the cool climate southern zone of Patagonia, whose elongated growing season ensures slow, even flavor development. Chardonnay and Syrah, along with Malbec and other Bordeaux varieties, thrive in Argentina’s most important region, Mendoza, including both its cooler Uco Valley sub-zone and the warmer climate Luján de Cuyo.
