An Underground Favorite, Silvertone Has Been Serving Up Delicious Comfort Food & Classic Cocktails Since 1997

Named after a brand of 1950s radios, amps, and guitars much beloved by collectors, Silvertone opened in 1997 at 69 Bromfield Street in what co-owner Josh Childs describes as a "little tucked-away space" in the building's basement.

With old black-and-white pictures and classic memorabilia lining the walls, Silvertone conjures a classic '50s vibe that has made it a perennial downtown favorite. The menu is much beloved, as well, offering up comfort food staples such as quesadillas, macaroni-and-cheese, meatloaf, and more. The vintage cocktails are legendary.

Silvertone's function room, "Chez Freddie Lounge," featuring a private bar, restrooms, and dedicated sound system, can accomodate up to 65 guests.
