The AMC Boston Common Cinema opened in July 2001, as part of MP Boston’s massive redevelopment of Avery Street into the Ritz-Carlton complex. Located on the spot of the former Astor Theatre, the AMC Boston Common features 19 screens and 4,400 seats total–including a 600-seat IMAX theater.
