Film Synopsis: Dubbed “the greatest that never was,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident nearly ended his racing career. Years later, when his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), asks him for help in saving his struggling F1 team, Sonny is convinced to return to the track. Sonny’s impulsive racing strategy and daredevil tendencies create friction within the team, particularly with Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) – his hotshot rookie teammate intent on setting his own pace – and the team technical director Kate McKenna (Kerry Condon). As the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition – and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.

From a screenplay by Ehren Kruger with story by Kosinski and Kruger, it also stars Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award nominee Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo, with casting by Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann.
