From restaurants to retail, many new businesses have opened in Downtown Boston this year, with even more planning to open later in the year.
As of April 2026, Downtown Boston experienced an 8% increase in visitors compared to December 2022. Visitor traffic has likely increased further in recent weeks with the recent influx of international visitors traveling to Boston for the World Cup.
