A few fun facts from summer in Downtown Boston so far:
• 1 new Social District launched
• 4 FIFA World Cup Watch Parties hosted
• Thousands of fans gathered on Temple Place throughout the tournament
• 2 days of Harborfest programming with live music, entertainment, and community celebrations
• 1 Downtown Movie Night
• 3 new businesses opened on Washington Street
• The highest pedestrian activity Downtown has seen since before the pandemic
None of these milestones happened in isolation.
Each event, new business, and public space activation is part of a larger effort to create a Downtown that is active from morning to night, supports local businesses, attracts residents and visitors, and offers something for everyone.
It’s about building a neighborhood where people want to spend time—whether that’s grabbing dinner, attending an event, discovering a new shop, or simply enjoying the energy of the streets.
There’s still plenty of summer left, and we’re excited for what’s up next.

Awesome!
