Upgrading Streetscapes & Beautification

Upgrading Streetscapes

The BID invests in beautification efforts to ensure that residents, visitors and area employees enjoy a welcoming environment. As the seasons change, we mark the changes with vibrant and colorful streetscapes.

We furnish the district with more than 92 seasonally landscaped ground planters, 575 hanging baskets, and well over 500 holiday decorations, creating visual themes tied to the seasons.

We also landscape and curate several pocket parks, including the Irish Famine Memorial Plaza (corner of School & Washington streets), the traffic island at the Kingston-Bedford intersection, and along the Court Street corridor.

Downtown Boston is a beautiful neighborhood, and the work we do is exciting and vibrant.
