Named "Hobgoblin" in honor of Sir Hugo de Giffard who—rumor has it—enlisted the help of an army of hobgoblins to build the cavernous undercroft of Yester Castle, Hobgoblin's gastropub features magical elements, including gargoyle street lamps and paintings of monsters drawn by medieval monks and re-created in contemporary times by artist Kimberly Squiers.

Vital to realizing the Hobgoblin concept has been the hard work and inspiration of the restaurant's team, consisting of owners Andy Komwises, Nick Chantler Treenawong, and Jamme Chantler, and Chef Ginger Phomjun. Tony Iamunno is Hobgoblin's principal bar guy and the creative visionary behind its beverage program. Tony is a long-time veteran of Boston's bar and gastropub scene wherein he has featured his wildly creative cocktails, focusing on unique herbs and spices in his own handmade syrups and liqueurs. He was once featured in a Boston Globe article for making 500 cocktails in 500 days!
