Make Work, Work for You: The Importance of Flexibility and Choice in the Workplace

Make Work, Work for You: The Importance of Flexibility and Choice in the Workplace

Three quarters of the total U.S. workforce will be mobile by the year 2020. The ability to work remotely or have the freedom of choice within the workplace optimizes staff performance, company efficiency, and work effectiveness. Companies are faced with the challenge of adapting to the idea of choice within their work strategy, policy, and employee training and engagement. The times are changing and the way we work is changing too.

June’s Design Museum Mornings presentation features Emily Klein of Flexwork Global. Utilizing case studies, research, and experiences from the field, Emily and her colleague Karen Kelly have created a roadmap that allows organizations to create virtual workspaces and teams that are always connected. Her presentation will touch upon the importance of choice in the workplace and discuss solutions for providing choice while fostering stronger teams and business efficiency. This presentation kicks off at 8:30 am on the morning of June 23rd at Knoll, and will feature audience Q&A, breakfast, coffee, and plenty of great design discussion, sponsored by Knoll and Office Resources. Doors open at 8:30 am; Presentation begins at 9:00 am.
