Navy Yard Hospitality Presents a Waterfront Takeover with Tall Ships Tent & BBQ

This year marks the return of the Tall Ship fleet for Sail Boston 2017, an event that takes place once every four years, and Navy Yard Hospitality Group is offering guests a breathtaking view of the historic affair. Beginning June 16th, 2017 through Wednesday, June 21st 2017, Charlestown’s Pier 6 and its sister location, East Boston’s ReelHouse, both of which are official event viewing locations, will host “Tall Ships Tents & Patios” over the long weekend with an outdoor barbeque and seafood boils with tens of thousands of square feet of prime waterfront views. Pier 6 will feature open picnic-style seating on their outdoor pier and parking lot, featuring grill fired barbecue ribs lobster rolls, swordfish kabobs, fried clams, beer and cocktails. Across the way, enjoy ReelHouse’s patio party with open seating, live shucking and oyster bar and more! The restaurant duo will cover events including the Grande Parade of Sail, Public Boarding of Ships and the Tall Ships Depart, and all food and drink options are available in addition to the regular lunch & dinner service indoors. Itching to go to both Pier 6 and ReelHouse? Public water taxi services will be available for easy access to and from each individual location. In addition to their barbecue extravaganza, both restaurants’ regular menus will also be available. Highlights from Pier 6’s new summer menu include Grey Sole with truffled cauliflower puree, quinoa wild rice salad and orange vinaigrette ($25) and Beef Tenderloin Medallions with truffled potatoes, spinach and red wine mushroom sauce ($35). For ReelHosue, summer selections include Blackened Swordfish Taco Plate with Mexican cabbage, rice and beans and pico de gallo ($22) and Seared Sea Scallops with Brussel sprout tabbouleh in a caper berry vinaigrette ($25). Compliment the meal with a beverage such as the Pier 6’s Captain’s Mistress made with Avion Blacno tequila, Aperol, grapefruit juice, rhubarb bitters and cava ($13) or ReelHouse’s Mai Tai made with Gosling’s run, Real McCoy Rum, grand Marnier, pineapple and house grenadine ($13).
