Perfecting Your Pitch Workshop

Do you need help talking about your brand and communicating your story? Are you looking to expand your food business with new sales accounts and bigger opportunities? Are you trying to raise money for your business? If any of this applies to you, please join us for a workshop on improving and refining your pitch. This friendly gathering will feature real pitches given by local brand founders and an open feedback exchange with experienced professionals in the food space as well as fellow entrepreneurs. You will learn how to talk about your brand in a way that makes it memorable and has an impact, what investors are looking for in a pitch, and how to streamline your story to make it stand out. Who Should Attend: Any early-stage business or start-up in the food space including Food Tech, Ag Tech, CPG Products, Food Services, etc. who are looking to raise funds, present to stakeholders, or refine a sales pitch. Fundraising and Branding Experts: Workshop and discussion will be facilitated by Lisa Sebesta (Sitari Capital) and Melissa DiPalma (Sparkk Brand & Presentation Strategy). Volunteers: If you would like to be considered for delivering a 5 minute pitch (and receive 15 minutes of feedback!) at the workshop please select that option on the registration form. We will follow up with you about the details of presenting. We are looking for 3 volunteers so please consider participating - we promise this will be a friendly, low-key, learning experience! ***** Instructor bios: Melissa DiPalma is a presentation and brand strategist who started Sparkk to help purpose-driven brands and businesses reduce noise and spark change with clearer messages. Her goal is to teach brands how to better communicate their values, ideas and story so that they stand out and promote growth. Lisa Sebesta is an experienced investor in the food space, founder of Sitari Capital and a general partner in Fresh Source Capital Fund 1. Through her work at Sitari, she helps investors with their due diligence and evaluation of private company deals, and is a board member or advisor to several small food businesses. *snacks and beverages will be provided
