Poetry Mobile

Powered by a restored 1952 Ford pickup and two specially outfitted trailers, the Poetry Mobile is covered in artwork, and poems by area students and well-known writers. Student ambassadors lead poetry and art-making workshops for hundreds of visitors each day.

10 am-6 pm

• Interactive public art creation: Recycled Poetry sculpture; and three 12-foot tall Totem Poems. Sculpture and totems will grow over two days.
• Basketball Poems: public plays pick-up poetry games on regulation hoops.
• Spoken-word presentations throughout the day.

 12 noon-1 pm and 5-6 pm

• Poetry-inspired fashion show: BlancoMaj Streetwear Couture shows sustainable, wearable art fashions
